This blog is practically dead- there has been like only 1 post for month, and even then, it hasnt been any real posts. In 2005, this blog used to be great, but now its gone. what happened?

Having three jobs (one f/t, two p/t), a daughter in shidduchim, and B"H other children to be megadel, gets to you after a while... :-(
I have done some "indirect" Pesach writing, by "piggybacking" my comments onto Harry Maryles's Pesach Divrei Torah from RYBS, see:

Perhaps an idea: Maybe take one small thing from the day of teaching, learning, etc. that is most interesting to you, and post it in a small 5 min post. Even if it is not "blog-worthy", the fact that in your entire day of learning and teaching, it is the most interesting to you, probably means it is something we should be learning too!
ReplyDeleteI just thought I should warn you that the amazon ad on "quick and dirty" might not be so good for a torah blog.
ReplyDeleteGood he'arah. Changed the lashon. :-)
ReplyDeleteLiChvod HaRav Bechhofer SHLIT"A:
ReplyDeletePlease do not send us to that other blog. Although it does carry some Divrei Torah (mostly around Yom Tov time), the majority of its content involves Chareidi bashing and other similar repugnant "conversation." Although I am grateful to that other blog for making me aware of this wonderful Torah blog, I am careful (unless my Yeitzer HaRa overpowers me) not to look at the Lashon HaRa and Hotzoas Shem Ra there.
What is also very disturbing about that other blog is its masthead. The host, a habitual "name-dropper," lists several Gedolei Torah, make it seem that he has their Haskamah. Quite the contrary, I am certain that every one of them, whether in Gan Eden or (Yibadlu LeChaim Tovim) in this World, strongly disapprove of his promotion of Sinat Chinam and other objectionable behavior.
To the Previous Commenter:
ReplyDeleteWhat you are saying is true. However, you are being too harsh on that other blog-master. I know him to be a well-meaning Jew. Perhaps Rabbi Bechhofer can counsel and advise him how to use his talents in a more Torah-oriented manner.

ReplyDeleteA good idea, when I get home after Pesach I will IY"H try to implement it!
