I didn't know until a few minutes ago that he wrote a vast work on the Yerushalmi! I was at what I think was his first siyum on Yerushalmi back in the 70s at the Young Israel of West Hempstead and it was an inspiration for me ever since!

An amazingly accomplished person! Do you have any biographical information on Dr. Guggenheimer -how he survived the war, his time in Israel, how he became interested in mathematics?
