The six points from the Sefer HaBris, slightly abridged:

ספר הברית - חלק ב מאמר יב דרך הקודש - פרק א

ואם תרצה שתשובתך תהיה מקובלת בלי ספק בני לדברי הקשיבה שלח נא ידך ואחוז בחמשה דברים שזכרו חז"ל מעתיקי השמועה, ואלו הם:

א) תהיה עונה אמן יהא שמיה רבא בכל כחך ובכל כוונתך כאשר אמרו בפרק (כל כתבי) כל העונה אמן יהא שמיה רבה בכל כחו קורעים לו גזר דינו ואפילו יש בו שמץ ע"ז מוחלין לו ופותחין לו שערי גן עדן, ובפסיקתא אמרו שמבטל כל גזרות קשות, ובזוהר (פ' נח) אמרו כשישראל עונים אמן יהא שמיה רבה הקדוש ברוך הוא אתמלי רחמין וחייס על כלא, עכ"ל:

בפרט צריך שתזהר לענות אמן אחר ברכת פורס סוכת שלום עלינו בשבת ויו"ט כי רוב העולם רגילים לצעוק תיכף ושמרו או וידבר משה או תקעו בחודש או כי ביום הזה ושוכחים לענות אמן מקודם על ברכת פורס סוכת שלום, וכן צריך שתזהר מאד לענות אמן על ברכת המחזיר שכינתו לציון מפני שרוב הצבור רגילים להשתחוות תיכף ולצעוק מודים אנחנו לך ושוכחים לענות אמן מקודם:

וכבר היה מעשה בעת אחד בגלות המר הזה שהיה עת רצון למעלה על גאולתנו ועל פדות נפשנו ובא בחלום לצדיק אחד שהיה בדור ההוא שהיה עת רצון גדול וכבר התעוררו כל הפמליא של מעלה אך הס"מ קטרג ואמר הלא רוב בני ישראל אינם מתפללים בכוונה על זה והראיה שאינם עונים אמן אחר ברכת המחזיר שכינתו לציון, וע"י הקטרוג הזה נשתקע הדבר ונתארך הגלות ועדיין לא שבנו לארצנו, ואם פג לבך מלהאמין תשגיח על רוב הצבור בשתי ברכות אלה ותמצא כדברי, לכן מאד מאד הוי זהיר בשתי אלה גם תזהיר לאחרים על זה ותזכה לרבים, ואנכי אדם להבל דמה כתבתי בדיו תיבת אמן בסדור תפלה שלי בסוף שתי ברכות אלו לזכרון ולמשמרת ולהשיב לכל שואל:

ב) תהיה זריז בשמירת שבת מאד, כאשר אמרו חז"ל (בו בפרק) כל המשמר שבת כהלכתה אפילו עובד ע"ז כדור אנוש מוחלין לו, ואמרו שם כי שני המלאכים המלוין לו לאדם מניחים ידיהם על ראשו ואומרים לו וסר עונך וחטאתך תכופר:

ג) שתאמר שירת הים בכל יום בכוונה ובקול נעים ובשמחה, כאשר אמרו חז"ל כתיב ויסע משה את ישראל מים סוף (שמות ט"ו) הסיעם מעונותיהם שנמחל להם:

ד) תהיה מעביר על מדותיך כאשר אמרו (בפרק קמא דראש השנה) כל המעביר על מדותיו מעבירין לו על כל פשעיו, שנאמר נושא עון ועובר על פשע (מיכה ז') למי נושא עון למי שעובר על פשע:

ה) אם שמוע תשמע בחשק דברי החכם הדורש ביראת ה' ובמוסר השכל ודברי אגדה:

עוד דבר מסוגל לזה והוא שתתבודד לפעמים בחדר מיוחד ותשא למרום עיניך ותתחרט על עונותיך ותדבק מחשבתך בו בחשק ותוכיח את עצמך ותתעורר לאהבה את ה' אלהיך וליראה אותו, ואם אתה עושה כן יאר ה' פניו אליך ויקבל תשובתך באהבה וברצון:

ואתה שים נא לבבך מן היום הזה ומעלה להחזיק בשש אלה ואז לבטח תדע כי כבר רצה אלהים את מעשך וקבל ברחמים רבים את תשובתך:

New Series! Iggeres D'Rav Sherira Gaon, part 1: The Questions

Iggeret of Rabbi Sherira Gaon (Hebrew: אגרת רב שרירא גאון), also known as the Letter of Rav Sherira Gaon, and the Epistle of Rav Sherira Gaon, is a responsum penned in the late 10th century (987 CE) in the Pumbedita Academy by Sherira ben Hanina, the Chief Rabbi and scholar of Babylonian Jewry, to Rabbi Jacob ben Nissim of Kairouan, in which he methodologically details the development of rabbinic literature, bringing down a chronological list of the Sages of Israel from the time of the compilation of the Mishnah, to the subsequent rabbinic works (Tosefta, Sifra, Sifre, etc.), spanning the period of the Tannaim, Amoraim, Savoraim, and Geonim under the Babylonian Exilarchs (Jewish Babylonian Aramaic: רֵאשׁ גלותא Rēsh Galūthā), concluding with his own time. Therein, Sherira ben Hanina outlines the development of the Talmud, how it was used, its hermeneutic principles, and how its lessons are to be applied in daily life whenever one rabbinic source contradicts another rabbinic source. It is considered one of the classics in Jewish historiography.
