  1. Maybe you can help explain this controversy to me. If Feldman has a legitimate point, then it is a topic for conversation and dialogue. If there is nothing to his point, then what is the issue? Who cares what he says! If you say that he is in a position (politically, socially, economically, etcetera) that a lack of response would be "bad for the Jews", then again I understand responding to his point. But if he is not in such a position, then why is everyone getting all worked up? Maybe it is being here in Milwaukee that insulates me from the crux of the issue.

  2. I had the same kashya. The only teirutz I can think of is that something that appears in the NYT magazine has to be dealt with, no matter how frivolous.
