Did you see R' Don Segal's take on the tragedy? http://www.bhol.co.il/upload0208/2008311_95927196_Page_2.jpg I find it too be very hurtful, practically blaming the victims. Is there a more positive way to see this?
Rabbi Segal's comments are highly disturbing, and extremely inappropriate. And when two dozen bachurim were killed in Chevron in 1929 did that mean the Chevron Yeshiva had improper hashkofos?!
The proper perspective, in my opinion, is that the lack of achdus in Klal Yisroel leads to diminished divine protection, allowing terrorists to penetrate and kill young, innocent souls - as tzaddikim are nitpasim al avone ha'dor.
