The Rebbetzin's Husband: The Diaspora Jew

The Rebbetzin's Husband: The Diaspora Jew

Thanks to Steve Katz for forwarding this to me. I don't know if I agree with every example, but with the sentiment... 100%!

  1. It seems like people generally think that when Moshiach comes, everything will be perfect and will magically work out without any effort on our part. We will all just be magically transported to Eretz Yisroel where we will be served by the non-Jews day and night and we will be able to learn in kollel 18 hours a day and all our food and housing will be provided for free. Everyone will be frum and everything will be perfect and effortless. If this is how it is going to happen - and I have no idea if it is or isn't - then all of these attitudes make sense. Moshiach doesn't have to seem real to us because we assume he will come in an unreal way.
