Zohar Al Pi Pshat Day 295. 33a. Of The Dry Land (Yabasha) and Lechem Ani (Matzo) - Be a Midbar!

Inyana d'Yoma

My Grandather, Rabbi Dov Yehuda Schochet zt"l, at Farbrengens

The one on top must be from the late '50s or early '60s as the one on bottom is from Yud Shvat 1970. In both pictures my grandfather zt"l is immediately behind the Rebbe zt"l, in the top picture right next to the Rebbe in the picture, on the Rebbe's left (right side in the picture), in the bottom picture the second over from the Rebbe to the Rebbe's right (left side in the picture).

In the bottom picture, to the Rebbe's left (right side of the picture) with a bottle in front of him, is my great uncle, who was married to my grandfather's sister Ettel a"h, Rabbi Mordechai Hodakov zt"l. The only other person I can identify in that picture is the person in the fisherman's cap, Reb Mendel Futerfas zt"l. I am sure other people can identify many of the personages in both pictures. Both pictures courtesy of my cousin, Rabbi Moshe Daniel Schochet shlita.

Shedim, A Shiur to 8th Grade Girls

The school runs an annual privilege auction.
Students bid for privileges from the teachers.

My privilege is always a shiur on the topic of your choice to the audience of your choice at the venue of your choice.

The 8th grade student who bid for the girls' privilege asked for a shiur on

Shedim

during school time, to the entire grade.

This is the shiur, from April 2, 2025.
