Of course Lt. Birnbaum tells that when he was drafted, his rebbe at Chaim Berlin told him to say this *kapitel* as it's for soldiers. That seems a popular read of it in the non-Jewish world ... curious how his rebbe (forgot who) reconciled that with the Gemara's "shir shel negaim/pegaim."

It doesn't have a zayin so as to protect from klei zayin.
