In light of the many recent statements of dubious validity, I would suggest a good barometer:
WWRYSS?
What Would Reb Yisroel Salanter Say?
This reflects a very biting comment made to me many years ago by a friend (yes, he is still a friend) of mine about a certain incident:
WWRAEKHD?
What Would Reb Avrohom Eliyahu Kaplan Have Done?
Over Pesach, I was thinking about how Hillel would conduct his Seder if he were alive today--would he eat matzah, maror and korech or just matzah and korech (discussed by Rishonim). It occurred to me that What Would Hillel Do? is a good thing to ask in life.

ReplyDeleteI already use "WWRALD"?

And for those of us on a lower madreiga, there's always WWRYGBD and WWRMBD. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have been using WWAAD for some time (AA=Avraham Avinu). Usually used as a way to urge myself to act with greater generosity of spirit.
