Maybe we can give a very technical sevara: Sefeiq sefeiqa -- maybe we shouldn't hold like the Behag (that it's all one mitzvah), and maybe we will fulfill the mitzvah.
My own thoughts when saying Birekhas Ahavah Rabba have been almost the reverse: Vesein belibeinu... Lishmor -- lavin veLaasos - mitzvos asei So, what's left for "ulqayeim"? So I had the thought that maybe we are referring to the qiyum shebeleiv, that we ask Hashem that we would be tokhin to have a qiyum of a permanent reshimah of the mitzvos.
Yotzei yedei chovaso is indeed about leaving the place of chiyuv.
But when I leave, I want the mitzvah to still be qayamah.
What's a birkhas hamitzvah about? "Asher qideshanu bemitzvosav" -- not doing the mitzvah, but the qedushah one can obtain from doing it. Sounds like what I was identifying with "qiyum".
